Top Home Theater Mistakes to Avoid
1. Placing the TV Too High
Ideal height: The center of the screen should be at eye level when seated. Over‑mounting causes neck strain and reduces clarity.
2. Putting the Subwoofer in a Cabinet
Bass needs air to move. Place the subwoofer in the front left corner or side wall, NOT inside furniture.
3. Sitting Too Close or Too Far
Use this formula: Viewing Distance = TV Size × 1.3 (Example: 65" TV → ~8.5 ft).
4. Blocking the Soundbar
Nothing should sit in front of it. Even a small obstruction ruins clarity.
5. Surround Speakers Too Low
Surrounds should be 2–3 ft above your ears. This is where the immersive “wrap-around” effect comes from.
